Patch and hoodie

For a sniper squad of the Fallschirmjäger we developed a crest and a back print. At the centre, a raven sits on a skull with a beak, the symbol of silent precision. Parachute and crossed rifles stand for the branch and the mission.

Olive and black, ideal for embroidered patches. The crest works embroidered as well as printed. On the hoodie, a sniper in a ghillie suit lies in firing position, with crosshairs and a sunrise. The motto sits inside the design: Serva quod occidis.

The 1st platoon of Panzerpioniere 2./8 is the company's specialist for the attack. That is why its heraldic animal is a rhino with its head lowered.

We agreed every detail with the platoon. The men could choose from many drafts drawn just for them.

From proposal to crest

  1. First round: 21 drawn crest proposals, each a shield with a rhino.

For the 4th Marinesicherungskompanie at the Marineunteroffizierschule we created a crest in the style of classic pirate flags. The red emblem of anchor and sword stands for the Marinesicherung.

Varrow Tactical specialises in made-to-measure gear. For the brand we designed a shirt graphic, a second logotype and a sticker in death metal style.

The shirt shows a rifleman, direct and hard-edged. The sticker is raw, wild and still precise, like Varrow's products.

Crest and flag for the Joint Fire Support Team in Stetten. At the centre is the moment of effect: close air support, directed from the ground.

The JTAC looks to the sky as the bombs fall above him. The red emblem joins symbols from artillery, air force and navy.

The heavy platoon of 3./GebJgBtl 231 carries its design as a back print and as a flag. In the background stand the mountains, where the Gebirgsjäger operate.

In front, two soldiers: a MELLS gunner and a GMW carrier. They stand for the tasks of the heavy platoon. We reworked the platoon crest and built it into the design.

Hörsaal 107

Hörsaal 107 of the X. Inspektion in Altenstadt got a complete visual identity when it was founded. In the crest, the grim reaper carries a grounding rod instead of a scythe, a tool used in external cargo operations. In his hand he holds the vehicles that get loaded.

On top of that came a modular patch system and designs for shirts, mugs, flags and the bar.

The 3rd company of Jägerbataillon 921 focuses on Jagdkampf and trench fighting. The shirt shows exactly that.

We refined the design with the company commander over several rounds and modernised the existing crest for it.

From crest to design

  1. The company crest: skull with dagger inside a triangle, along the edge the lettering 3./JgBtl 921.

  2. First draft in a frame: the crest in front of a tree line, a kneeling rifleman before it, the line of a trench on the right.

  3. Second draft: three soldiers instead of one, the lettering now runs along the right edge of the triangle.

    The scene gets denser, the lettering switches sides.

  4. The print design: crest, trench and tactical symbols, without frame and without soldiers.

For the Joint Fire Support Team in Munster we created a design for shirts and flags. At first, the team wanted a different direction.

After several drafts, our own proposal won out: a skull with helmet and night vision device in front of a globe.

From brief to design

  1. First proposal in a frame: an aircraft, shells and, at the bottom, a soldier with a radio.

    The first brief asks for a scene: aircraft, shells, a soldier on the ground.

  2. Second proposal: the same scene with a jet and a self-propelled howitzer firing.

    Then the same idea with artillery.

  3. Third proposal under an arch: the trajectory of a shell, below it a badge and the soldier.

PPF Germany prepares athletes for the selection courses of SEK, KSK and GSG 9. The hoodie joins the Prussian eagle with sword and kettlebell, military tradition with functional fitness.

We developed the tagline for PPF: engineering lethality. Not a motivational quote, a promise.
